About IEAM Outbound

The IEAM (International Education Association of Montpellier) is a "Loi 1901" non-profit association, created in July 2003 by a group of concerned parents wishing to promote and provide access to multilingual education in and around Montpellier.

Today we have around 40 member families. Come join us if you are an Anglophone or Anglophile, and if you share our desires for international education. (en Francais)

IEAM English Language Workshops for Anglophone Children

IEAM Outbound proposes monthly workshops to English speaking children where they can exercise their English as a learning tool. Workshops are open to active IEAM members, and require a strong level of English to participate:

Club - Designed for Anglophone children ages 6 to 11, this workshop helps kids keep up-to-date with reading and writing in English, get ready for future study, and help develop reading and story-building skills as a way into Anglophone culture.

Discovery - Based on reading and personal written work from participants, this program typically involves literature and other written materials used in school programs of Anglophone countries. An Anglophone cultural program for middle- school children aged 11 to 16.

Chatterbox - NEW ! For the first time, classes of English for non-anglophone children are offered at Outbound.
Classes for kids and teens, where oral practice through playful activities instead of traditional theoretical study, leads participants to rapidly and effectively express themselves in English.

PIG - Parent & Infant group meeting every second week for bilingual toddlers up to 5 or 6 years old.

Drama - Using Drama class techniques (improvisation, role-playing, mime,) participants learn to speak up more confidently in English while having fun! Please write to us at the e-mail address for more details. (en Francais)

La fete de fin d'annee

Bonjour a tous,

A l'occasion de la fete de fin d'annee organisee par la MPT Melina Mercouri SAMEDI 13 JUIN, OUTBOUND y presentera ses ateliers. Les classes de Diane (Chatterbox) et de Lael (Discovery) donnerons une petite representation aux alentours de 17h45.

Les spectacles, ateliers de chants..commencent des 17h.

Nous vous y attendons tres nombreux avec vos familles et enfants.

Le bureau et tout son equipe!

For the end of year party organised at Melina Mercouri Saturday the 13th of June, OUTBOUND will be there to present their workshops. Diane's classes (Chatterbox) and Lael's classes (Discovery) will give a "show" around 17.45pm.

The show, workshops presented by the other associations will start at 5pm.

We hope to see you all with your families and childrens.

Picnic 28th June

Reminder!
Don't forget! On Sunday June 28, we'll have our end-of-the-year picnic at the Base de Loisirs de Bessilles, near Mèze and Montagnac (see map and itinerary attached). At noon, an apéritif will be offered by the association. Opt for a day of relaxing fun: pétanque, tennis (the courts are reserved for us from 2 to 4 pm), swimming in the heated or simply relaxing on the lawn.

Bring your sandwich or barbecue stuff (coals and grill are necessary). It's up to you!.

We invite everyone to bring a dessert to share with others.

The picnic is open to Outbound members and their friends or anyone who wants to take this opportunity for meeting us.

N'oubliez pas! Dimanche 28 juin, nous nous réunissons pour notre pique-nique de fin d'année à la Base de Loisirs de Bessilles, près de Mèze et Montagnac (voir itinéraire en pj). A midi, l'association vous offre l'apéritif. Apportez votre sandwich ou grillade à faire (prévoir charbons et grille), journée tennis (les terrains sont réservés pour nous entre 14h et 16h) ou piscine (chauffée), pétanque ou sieste sur la pelouse. Vous choisissez!

Nous vous proposons d'apporter un dessert à partager pour la 'ronde des desserts'. Ouvert à nos membres et à leurs amis, ainsi qu'à tous ceux qui souhaiteraient profiter de l'occasion pour nous rencontrer.

Picnic fin d'année - 28 June

N'oubliez pas le picnic de la fin d'année dimanche 28 juin à la Base de Loisirs de Bessilles, pres de Meze et Montagnac. A midi, un apéritif sera offert par l'association, suivi par les activités de loisir en famille (tennis, natation dans la piscine, pétanque, acrobranche, vtt, ou tout simplement decontration total sous les arbres! Ouvert à tous les membres et leurs amis ainsi que ceux qui s'interessent à joindre ou connaitre mieux l'association. Amenez le picnic pour votre famille plus un déssert à partager. Invitation à suivre...

Pic St Loup Sunday 17th May

Hello Everyone,

Please join us this Sunday May 17th is the IEAM Outbound Hike and Picnic! No RSVP necessary, come to the meeting place between 10 and 10:15 ready to hike and equipped with a picnic (and water and sunscreen!) for you and your family.

To get to the Meeting Place: From Montpellier, take the rond point de la Lyre and go in the direction of St. Gely du Fesc on the D986. Go towards St. Martin de Londres then get on the D113EA. After about 7 kilometers you will see a brown sign that reads Cazevielle. Turn right just after this sign and proceed to the parking lot. That's the meeting place!

Venez nombreux à nous joindre pour le IEAM Outbound Randonnée et picnic au Pic St. Loup! Une réponse n'est pas nécessaire, il suffit de venir au lieu de rendez vous entre 10h et 10h15 ce dimanche matin, 17 mai, equippé d'un repas picnic pour votre famille et bien sur de l'eau de la creme solaire!

Pour vous rendre au lieu de rendez-vous: de Montpellier, prenez la direction St. Gély du Fesc depuis le rond point de la Lyre, proceder sur le D986. Apres diriger vous vers St. Martin de Londres et prenez le D113EA. Apres environ 7 kilometre d'apres Mappy, vous verrez un panneau marron pour Cazevielle. Tournez à droite après ce panneau et proceder au parking: vous y êtes!
